Companionship
There are many ways that we offer companionship to our customers and their family. For example, if you are caring full time for a close family member, we can sit with them to keep them company and safe at home, while you run errands or have some time to yourself. Our friendly team are also happy to just simply pop round for a cup of tea, have a much needed chat, help with a puzzle or reading the paper with you? We as a company have helped many regain their confidence and self esteem just by bringing a bit of normality and companionship in to their lives.
Basic gardening
As you get older, bending and crouching down can get harder and more dangerous for you. However, you may be extremely green fingered and have a lot of pride in your garden. Here at Any Little Thing Ltd we have members of our team who are green fingered too. We can support our clients keeping them safe by communicating with them what they would like us to tidy in their garden. We involve our clients every step of the way. We can carry out weeding, tidying beds or planting new plants. Just because you may not be able to tend to your garden, does not mean you cannot be involved with improving it where you wish. We will follow guidance and ensure that we are assisting and supporting our client to keep their garden looking how they want it. This takes the pressure from family members at the weekend, allowing you to spend quality time together.
Meal preparation
Our amazing team can be there for our clients at any mealtime of the day. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. They will ensure that, with the right encouragement, our clients eat healthily and regularly. They can involve our client where possible with simple preparation or decision making. If necessary, we can cook from scratch and provide a healthy hot meal using food provided from the fridge. If our clients are unable to help prepare, our friendly team will still include them in any decision making throughout. Let us support you!
Appointments and prescription collection
Our trusted team are insured to take our clients to any appointments they may have. This could include the dentist, doctor, bank, or hospital. As well as escorting them to appointments, we will also stay with them if that’s what they prefer, enabling us to keep them safe and offering further assistance if needed. We are also able to pick up prescriptions and deliver them when visiting, or we can make a special journey if it is urgent. If a family member usually helps our clients with either of the above, it means that we can step in to support so that they do not have to miss work or change their plans. We take the stress out of you attending any important appointments. We are here for you!
Dog walking and feeding pets
Dogs can be great companions for some of our clients. However, walking the dog can be somewhat difficult. We can support them and their furry friends by taking their dog for a walk. We can also assist with any visits to the vet or we can work alongside our client to ensure that their pet is fed and watered. It could be that daily visits to help with all of these tasks are necessary, we can help by stepping in where needed, so that family members do not have to.
Shopping
We offer a fantastic shopping service where we can either escort our clients, offering assistance where needed, or we can fulfill a provided shopping list on their behalf. It is important to note that for some of our clients with Dementia or Alzheimer’s we offer further support working alongside their family, where we will make sure that all essentials and necessary items are bought for them. We will always do this keeping them involved in any decision making as we would any of our clients.
Cleaning and household chores
Our professional and trustworthy team are there to support our clients with any cleaning and household chores. We assist in enabling them to be as independent as possible living in their own home and we provide our staff with their own cleaning kit. While we are with our clients we can also carry out chores like changing the bed, washing, ironing or may be even walking the dog. We will always try to assign the same member of staff to our clients so that they can build a relationship with them. We are a support structure for our clients, helping them to maintain a clean and tidy house so that they can spend quality time with their family members.

“Arranging help for a vulnerable family member can be such a worry. Thankfully the ALT team have been a godsend to us and they have been able to adapt the assistance they provide to Dad as his needs have changed. Communication is great, they are flexible and reliable. They were recommended to me and I have recommended them to many others”
